75 Hard vs Soft Wellness – what actually works?

We’re seeing a clear shift right now, and it’s something we genuinely believe in.

Soft wellness is becoming one of the key trends for 2026. A move away from strict routines, extreme challenges and all-or-nothing mindsets, towards something more balanced, realistic and easier to maintain over time, maybe even a lifestyle that lasts.

Recently, CNN highlighted how challenges like “75 Hard” are starting to lose relevance, as more people move towards a softer, more sustainable approach. At the same time, research shows that only a minority of people maintain strict routines long term, which helps explain why more flexible approaches are gaining traction.

This becomes especially relevant in hospitality.

When guests are traveling, routines change. It’s not about offering more, but about making it easier to move, reset and feel good, without planning ahead or committing to something complex.

Wellness is no longer just about facilities, but about accessibility. Making movement available in a way that fits naturally into the stay, in the room, in between plans, on the guest’s terms.

We’re already seeing this with our hotel partners. When movement is easy to access, more guests actually use it. And when guests feel better, it reflects on the overall experience.

For us at Gympak, this is exactly where we fit in. Making it easy to stay active while traveling, without packing or planning, just a simple way to move, when it feels right.

We see soft wellness as more than a trend. It’s a more sustainable way to approach movement, especially in environments where flexibility matters most.

So for us, it’s a clear yes to soft wellness.

Curious how this could look in your hotel?
