A historic and sustainable partnership for hotel guests’ health and experience

Through a new agreement between wellness company Gympak and the prestigious Norwegian hotel group De Historiske, more than 95 unique hotels and restaurants across Norway will soon be able to offer modern wellness experiences to guests from around the world. The collaboration blends history, nature, and health in a way that is both sustainable and forward-looking.

De Historiske’s properties range from charming boutique hotels with just a few rooms to larger destinations with full-scale facilities, all dedicated to creating unforgettable guest experiences in culturally rich and stunning natural environments. With locations stretching from dramatic fjords to peaceful forests and all the way to the Arctic coast, each stay offers a unique connection to Norway’s natural and historical beauty. Where world-class hospitality meets the beauty of Norwegian nature – this is the signature experience of De Historiske.

Nils Henrik Geitle, CEO at De Historiske, sees this new offering as part of a larger strategy to support guest well-being. Gympak’s contribution, being high-quality training apparel, fits naturally into this healthy lifestyle concept.

The first hotel within De Historiske to offer Gympak’s solutions is Nermo Hotel in Øyer – a family-run hotel with deep roots and a clear focus on personal service and nature-based experiences.

A wellness upgrade for today’s traveler
As part of the partnership, guests at participating De Historiske hotels will gain access to Gympak’s signature wellness bag – a stylish, ready-to-use kit containing high-quality training clothes. It’s now easier than ever for guests to stick to their routines and feel good, whether heading out for a hike, enjoying movement in nature, or simply relaxing in their room.

Harald Berger, Purchasing Manager at De Historiske, sees the collaboration as a natural next step, “Integrating Gympak’s wellness bags into our hotels is a way to deepen our commitment to guest health and experience. Our guests come from all over the world, and this agreement helps us meet their needs in a sustainable and inspiring way.”

Heritage meets innovation
For Gympak, the agreement is an opportunity to bring wellness through training apparel to some of Norway’s most iconic and historic locations.

Jone Sølvik, CEO at Gympak, comments, “De Historiske represents the best of Norwegian hospitality, and we are proud to contribute with our wellness bags. Together, we can elevate the hotel experience and show that health is an essential part of both travel and everyday life.”

The partnership focuses on offering guests comfortable, high-quality training clothes that support an active lifestyle – whether they’re hiking, stretching in their room, or simply enjoying the surrounding nature.

This marks a new chapter for De Historiske as they continue to exceed guest expectations while preserving their unique heritage. With Gympak’s support, wellness becomes an even more natural part of the guest journey.
