Jone Sølvik to lead Gympak to global success

Gympak announces today that the profile Jone Sølvik will become the company’s CEO starting January 16, 2024. The 44-year-old from Helsingborg will lead the company in its exciting journey of growth and global expansion. Through its innovative products and digital services, the company wants to make it easier for everyone to get doses of physical activity. Gympak wants to inspire a healthier lifestyle and dreams of improving people’s health.

It believes that the successful and attractive companies of the future will offer new ways and tools for all their valuable staff to get physical activity at work, on the road, at home or wherever they are.
Jone, who most recently held the position of Head of Innovation and Partner at KPMG, has previously led successful companies and run charitable foundations. – We are incredibly happy and proud to welcome Jone to us at Gympak. His solid experience, drive, big heart and competence are exactly what we need. He will take good care of the many opportunities that lie ahead,” says multi-entrepreneur Tobias Lindberg, Chairman of the Board of Gympak. The incoming CEO has solid experience from the clothing and tech industry, and health and well-being are high on his agenda.

– It is a great honor to lead Gympak! It will be exciting to build a global brand in health, clothing and tech together with a fantastic and professional team, says Jone and continues; – I think companies need to add extra value to their staff in the future to retain their staff but also to attract the stars of the future. Health is one of the key components  and that is where we come in. We also see that we will make a big difference for all hotels and their visitors in the future. We already have a foothold there.

Gympak’s sales strategy is to work the national market  but to sell to all corners of the world via agents or distribution. The company has made several capital rounds during the year and has many well-known and established names as investors.

Gympak already has customers in the hotel industry who have bought into the concept. Customers report that guests would have liked to work out in their gym or in their hotel room, but that the guests did not have room for workout clothes, or forgot them, or did not want them to be sweaty in their luggage. The hotels see that Gympak can contribute to their sustainability efforts and that the packages will be rented out.
